Of her latest album\, Promised Land\, Williams commented\, “On this one\,
I was paring the stories down to their core. I wanted the songs to sound
simple and down to what they were meant to be\, which is hard to do. It ta

ATT75129.jpg\n\nIn the late 90’s following the deaths of Tupac Shakur and
the Notorious B.I.G.\, DMX took over as the reigning\, undisputed king of
hardcore rap. He was that rare commodity: a commercial powerhouse with art
istic and street credibility to spare. His rapid ascent to stardom was act

279966/s_gallagher.jpg\nAfter graduating from the University of South Flor
ida with a chemical engineering degree\, Gallagher got his first taste of
life on tour in 1976 as Jim Stafford’s road manager. Stafford and Gallaghe
r went out to California in 1979 and Gallagher decided to take the stage h
imself. He began honing his own comedy act while hanging out at both the C
omedy Store and the Ice House. As his audience grew\, Gallagher became mos
t noted for wielding his trademark Sledge-O-Matic. He showered his audienc
e with the pulverized remains of apples\, oranges\, lettuce\, cottage chee
se\, and pound cakes. Show goers turn up already “Gallagherized:” wearing
plastic raincoats\, goggles\, sunglasses\, and refer to the front of the t
heatre as “Death Row.”\n\n - Resources -\nGothic Theatre

Tab_Benoit_PIC1.jpg\nGuitarist-singer Tab Benoit is the real deal. Born an
d raised on the Louisiana bayou\, this self-proclaimed “new kid from the o
ld school” has been the standard bearer for a new generation of Cajun blue
s musicians – a traditionalist and an innovator at the same time\, graftin
g elements of rock and soul to the indigenous sounds of the bayou. And if
dedicating his life to his musical roots weren’t enough\, Benoit has also
been a tireless crusader in recent years – prior to the devastation of hur
ricane Katrina but even more so since – for the preservation of the rapidl
y vanishing wetlands of his native region.\n\n - Resources -\nGothic Theat

until.jpg\nNowadays it seems that being part of a scene is the cool thing
to do. It also seems that if u label ur band as metalcore\, deathmetal\, d
eathcore or any other sub genre of METAL then you’ll be considered “cool”.
We don’t care about that stuff… all we like to do is practice\, hangout i
n the outdoors and create music so we can destroy stages with our own bran
d of music that has been called “progess…ive”. Label us how u want but whe
n it comes down to it we’re just metal". Those are the words of bassist Is
aac Archuleta. Until Control is the bastard child of 5 dudes that love mus
ic and enjoy writing music with eachother. Their music is both brutal and
melodic with touches of ambient/atmospheric elements. Upon listening to th
e music the listener will quickly learn that there are no boundries to thi
s bands music which is why a very strong following is being built around t
he Denver area. All they can say is "Come to our shows and see for yoursel

7__700x_why_1481.jpg\nWHY? is a trio of handsome Cincinnati-born men who f
iddle with skins\, strings\, bells and microphones and present their findi
ngs to the listening public. Singer Yoni Wolf grew up the second son to an
art book editor and a rabbi. He got his start recording bad poems and slo
ppy beats on the family synagogue’s 4-track. In junior high he discovered
hip-hop. At art school\, he learned how to drop out. Yoni’s brother Josiah
played drums at Rabbi Wolf’s worship service as a kid\, became a band gee
k as a teen\, and fell in love with Thelonious Monk on his way to study mu
sic at University of Cincinnati. Doug McDiarmid would eventually get expel
led from that same school for carrying a stun gun\, but first he was raise
d by two French teachers and taught piano while in kindergarten. He also w
ent to high school with the Wolfs\, where he played in Steve Miller cover
 bands.\n\n\n - Resources -\nGothic Theatre
