When Monty Python’s Eric Idle created the fictional band “Toad the Wet Sprocket” for the program “Rutland Weekend Television” in 1975, he never dreamed that anyone would actually use such a silly name. Fast forward to 1986, when four California teens adopted the monicker as a joke for their first gig at a Goleta, CA watering hole called The Shack.

Toad the Wet Sprocket (Glen Phillips on lead vocals and guitar, Dean Dinning on bass and vocals, Todd Nichols on lead guitar and vocals, and Randy Guss on the drums) share in the kind of musical chemistry that can only come from meeting in high school and writing, recording and touring on albums over the course of those 25 years. After Bread & Circus, they followed with Pale in 1990, fear in ’91, Dulcinea in 1994, and Coil in 1997, as well as some compilation and rarities compilations along the way. While most will feel the comforting familiarity of the Billboard-charting hits, “Walk on the Ocean”, “All I Want”, “Something’s Always Wrong”, and “Fall Down”, new fans will also be well familiar with their new hits such as “California Wasted” which continues to climb the charts.

In their 24 years of existence, the Voodoo Glow Skulls have an impressive list of achievements. 9 albums, one million records sold, appearances in exotic locations like Brazil and Japan as well as the creation of a record store, record label, recording studio and a music venue attests to the remarkable creativity and energy of the band. Formed in 1988, Voodoo Glow Skulls meshed hardcore punk, traditional ska, tough guitar riffs and the Mexican music of their roots to create the prototype for the West Coast ska-core sound. Unflinchingly honest, their songs often used humor to comment on harsh political realities - from racial inequity to unrest overseas. Singing in both Spanish and English, Voodoo Glow Skulls’ bilingual musical tradition has been a hallmark of the band since they began.

Long known as one of the best live acts in the business, BoDeans continue to tour year round and deliver amazing, high energy performances. "I realized some time ago that the key to the BoDeans identity is the fans' connection to our music – nowhere is that more evident or rewarding as when we come together live. We love to connect with the fans who have supported us for so long and who have brought us so much inspiration." said Kurt Neumann, the band's founder and frontman. "We will continue to play as long as they continue to come out and sing along." Chart topping songs like Fadeaway, Only Love, and Dreams won them Rolling Stone's readers poll for Best New American Band in 1987, and they were part of a small contingent of bands that inspired a new radio format known as Adult Alternative, Album Rock-Triple A. Their reputation for delivering a dynamic live show garnered support slots with U2/Joshua Tree Tour, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, George Thorogood, The Pretenders, David Bowie, and appearances at Farm Aid, Summerfest, and ACL, among others.

He is one of popular music's most deeply revered figures, the main creative force behind some of the most cherished recordings in rock history. Indeed, it is no exaggeration to call Brian Wilson one of the most influential composers of the last century. Wilson’s remarkable journey began in a modest Hawthorne, California home that was filled with music. His mom and dad both played piano, and as a young “boy soprano,” Brian’s vocal gift was immediately evident. He had also started singing harmonies…literally “in their room”…with his two younger brothers (Dennis and Carl). As a teen in the 1950s, he became obsessed with the harmonic blend of groups like the Four Freshmen, and then, in the early 1960s, inspired to combine multi-part vocal harmony with the rock rhythms of Chuck Berry, Brian found his place in the musical sun.

What: Across the U.S. and Canada, Midas franchisees are working with local food banks to bring food, funds and hands-on assistance to hunger-relief efforts in the communities where their customers and associates live and work. Franchisees in the Midas network invite businesses, organizations and communities nationwide to join the Drive Out Hunger campaign by donating dollars for meals.

Why: In the U.S., one in six people is “food insecure”—Midas’ local franchisees launched Drive Out Hunger in the fall of 2014 to address that sad fact. Since inception, store owners of independently owned and operated locations and their employees have been running food drives, raising funds and coordinating box drops at food banks, ultimately resulting in more than 750,000 meals donated to food-insecure individuals across North America.

In Colorado, nearly 1 in 7 people are food insecure according to the Food Bank of the Rockies. Help spread the word and feed the hungry Thursday, July 9th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Participants will enjoy giveaways, free lemonade, promotions and more all while giving back.

How: This summer, Midas franchisees are launching the Drive Out Hunger #1Mile1Meal Food Truck in their local communities. Over 40 days, the truck will travel more than 10,000 miles, collecting food and funds and providing hands-on assistance for hunger relief in 25 cities throughout the nation.

At every event, community members can enjoy giveaways and help support the cause in three easy ways:
• Attend the food truck event and receive FREE lemonade, with donations suggested. All funds are collected and donated by the local franchisee to their local food bank. For every $5 donated, 25 meals will be made available to the hunger relief efforts.
• Bring a box or can of nonperishable food to the event; food donations will be gifted by the local franchisee to local food banks.
• Fuel the hunger-fighting road trip on social media by using #1Mile1Meal on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. For every use of the #1Mile1Meal hashtag, the Drive Out Hunger Food Truck will drive one additional mile and one additional meal will be donated until we reach 50,000 meals donated.

Sixteen years ago, at the age of 16, Jonny Lang found incredible success with the release of his major label debut album "Lie To Me". Fame does not seem to have impacted him from being the same country farm boy from Fargo, ND who got his start in the local clubs of Minneapolis. He survived the passage of youth to adulthood, fell in love, began a family, and in the process passed through the life lessons we all endure. He has a keen sense of what he aims to achieve creatively, what music means to him, and is focused on the impact that his songs bring to the lives of those that encounter his repertoire. For Lang, with the release of "Fight For My Soul", he is entering a chapter wherein he has found his true voice.

Aspen Hourglass is a classical fusion rock band. This slightly self-labeled genre came about by necessity, as the band struggled to find a genre to which to compare itself. Combining classical piano, slap/tap guitar techniques, bass synth, trapset, and lush vocals, Grayson Erhard, Elvin Holderfield, and Sean Hanson have created a unique tapestry of sound – melding their fondness for composition and expression with their desire to meaningfully connect with audience members.

Best-selling, award-winning children’s musician Laurie Berkner has been a longtime fixture on TV’s Nick Jr. and Sprout channels, and her original songs, albums (nine so far), DVDs, music videos, and books leave no doubt: Laurie Berkner is the uncrowned queen of children’s music and the power behind the progressive “kindie rock” movement.

What sets her apart? Her music speaks to kids without talking down to them, charming youngsters without boring grown-ups. Laurie’s “Rock Till You Drop Tour” show with her longtime keyboardist Susie Lampert as special guest, features popular hits like “Bumblebee (Buzz Buzz), “Victor Vito,” “We Are The Dinosaurs,” “Pig On Her Head,” and “Rocketship Run.” Kids are encouraged to bring their dancing shoes and a stuffed animal (for their heads)!

Constantly on the studio grind, SunSquabi is always striving to change and mature their sound. They continue to break down and analyze the expectations of what a “Live-Electronic” band should be. Through their own studio recordings and collaborations with other artists such as Griz, SunSquabi is dedicated to their ever evolving craft in the studio and on the live stage. A recent overhaul on the live set has propelled the group into 2015, with plans to tour all over the U.S. They will be making appearances at several major festivals this summer, with an album release planned for late Summer 2015

Austrian conductor David Danzmayr leads a program of works by three of the greatest composers to work in Vienna, the capital of the classical music world. The program begins with an orchestral arrangement of Schubert’s whimsical German Dances. The orchestra is then joined by French-Russian violin virtuoso and London Music Masters award recipient Alexandra Soumm, who makes her Colorado debut in Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4. The evening concludes with Beethoven’s energetic and effervescent Symphony No. 2.

While coming from different parts of the world and from vastly divergent musical backgrounds, the connection between George Xylouris and Jim White, who perform together as Xylouris White, is palpable from the first note of their debut LP, Goats, produced by Guy Picciotto of Fugazi. George Xylouris is a legendary Cretan folk musician, White is an icon of underground music, and together they have forged something surprising and impossible to categorize. Other Music Recording Co. releases the album October 14 (October 13 in the UK/EU).

Amy Ray and Emily Saliers are Indigo Girls. Rolling Stone describes them as the “ideal duet partners. Their voices soar and swoop as one, alternately raucous and soothing. When they sing together, they radiate a sense of shared purpose that adds muscle to their lanky, deeply felt folk-tinged pop songs.”

Together they write, arrange, record and perform music, which over the course of 25 years has become a vital part of the lives of their legion of devoted fans around the world, informing and rewarding them day to day.

All times displayed relative to America/Denver.
